Mainframe Application Developer

  • Ability to maintain existing code and develop new code and enhance computer applications.
  • Ability to develop applications using COBOL II/COBOL 390, DB2, SQL, CICS, TSO, Abend-AID, File-AID, QMF, Xpediter, IDCAMS, Syncsort, sFTP, NDM (Network Data Mover).
  • Develop complex SQL queries and performance tune for fast execution.
  • Perform Unit and support system testing.
  • Perform daily analysis, programming, and testing tasks as needed.
  • Interact daily with the systems and processes used in professional software development, including source control, bug tracking, testing, etc.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and balance new development projects with
    maintenance tasks, maintain in production support and defect tracking
